Adventure Tips

Start Early to Avoid Afternoon Thunderstorms

Summer afternoons often bring storms; begin your hike by mid-morning to enjoy dry conditions and clear views.

Carry Water and Snacks

There are no services on the trail, so bring enough water and high-energy snacks to stay fueled during the half-day hike.

Wear Layered Clothing

Temperatures can vary quickly in mountain environments; dress in layers to adjust as the day warms or cools.

Use Trekking Poles for Stream Crossings

Some creek sections may be slippery; poles help with stability on uneven, wet rocks.
