Every Thursday from May to August join the 'River Nene Paddlesports' SUP Club from 5:30pm - 7:00pm at Sibson Lake where you can have fun on the Lake and the River Nene.
Each week we try and mix up the social paddle, meeting at different locations between Peterborough and Oundle, usually covering 2 - 3 miles at a time. The team will directly get in touch with you 2 days before if we are meeting at a different location.
If you have your own Paddleboard you must provide your British Canoeing Membership number to launch.
Normal hire charges apply if you don't have your own Paddleboard.
All Kit and Equipment is provided such as Wetsuits, Buoyancy Aids etc.
Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the start time to get outfitted with your gear and attend the safety briefing.
Wear swimwear underneath and bring a towel plus a spare set of clothes to change into after paddling.
Old trainers or water shoes are best for stability and protection when launching and exiting the water.
You must submit your Paddle UK membership number prior to paddling on River Nene waters.
The River Nene has served as a historic navigation and trade route dating back to medieval England, enriching the surrounding region culturally and economically.
Participants are encouraged to practice Leave No Trace principles to protect the delicate riverbank habitats and native wildlife along the paddling route.
