Maintaining Ex Nihilo’s original philosophy of art on the creation of the winery, Ex Nihilo has created an environment to emphasize the connection between wine and art as evidenced throughout the Okanagan Valley. Ex Nihilo has established itself as a premiere destination for fine wine and fine, local art as displayed throughout the winery and tasting room.
Arrowleaf Cellars Winery – The main focus has always been their 16 acre Suncrest Vineyard in Okanagan Centre. Initial plantings of Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Bacchus date back to 1986 and subsequent plantings of Zweigelt, Merlot, Pinot Gris and Vidal were added from 1998 to 2000. Most of the vineyard is situated on a westerly slope and consists of well-drained gravelly glacial till and sandy loam soil. The high altitude and proximity to the lake gives the vineyard a moderate climate with a long frost-free period, allowing the grapes to hang on the vines well into October. This vineyard produces the lively and aromatic wines we have become known for. Come see for yourself!
Gray Monk Cellars – The roots of Gray Monk Estate Winery began in the family. For generations, the Heiss family worked together to make their dreams of owning a vineyard into reality. Today, their slogan is “Generations of Commitment”, recognizing the years of working together as a family to see their dreams come true. They are very proud of the quality of their wines and their customers’ appreciation of these wines. They hope you will take the opportunity to share a glass of award winning wine and a toast with them this summer!
