Trip Description

Come see Maine from the right side, from the water! The natural beauty of the unspoiled coastline and the seals, porpoises, and pelagic birds who call it home make this trip an adventure you’ll always remember. Lighthouses, those sentinels of our rocky coast, can be spotted throughout your time aboard. Visit island fishing villages, small coastal communities, and uninhabited islands to get a sense of what it’s like to live along the coast of Maine. As well as seeing it under sail, there will be opportunities for walks ashore. The itinerary for the trip is unplanned; we’ll use the tides, winds, and weather to our advantage to make for smooth sailing. Regardless of where we go, the panoramic views will surely please.

This can be as much of a hands-on adventure as you’d like. Help raise and tend sails, check out where we are on the chart, and perhaps even have an opportunity to take a turn at the wheel. And we always need rowers when we go ashore. But if you are more of an observer or simply looking for time to sit back and read that book you’ve been wanting to read, or perhaps sketch or paint, those are all perfect options as well.

Delicious meals are prepared on our wood-fired galley stove, except when we go ashore and cook up lobster and corn on the cob at our all-you-can-eat lobster picnic. (Yes, there will be an alternative if you don’t enjoy crustaceans. Just let us know ahead of time.)

This will be the vacation of a lifetime!
