About

Come enjoy and paddle America’s first Wild and Scenic river! Our plan is to paddle the entire 150 miles from Ponca to the confluence of the White River near Buffalo City. We will avoid all the developed campsites and instead make our camps deep in the backcountry. When we aren’t paddling we can take time to explore caves, waterfalls, go swimming, or just chill out in camp listening for elks and watching the river flow by.

Itinerary Day 1 — Our private van will pick everyone up from the Little Rock Airport at noon. We will stop for lunch en-route to our river-side camp near Ponca. At dinner, we will go over the week’s itinerary, review how to pack a canoe, and answer any and all questions.

Day 2 — Our outfitters will shuttle us, our canoes, and gear to our put-in at Ponca. (Water levels will dictate if we need to put-in some place else). Our journey begins here.

The rest of the week will find us paddling past places like Skull Rock, Loafers Glory, the Nars, Skull Bluff, and numerous old homesteads.

On our last day, we will make it to the confluence of the White River where our outfitters will pick us up and return us to our bunkhouse for the night.

The next morning everyone will be shuttled to the Little Rock Airport by 12 pm.

Meals and Accommodations All meals on the water will be provided, prepared, and served to you by your guides. Expect the amazing.

What's included: Airport pick up and drop off, 2 nights in a private river-side bunkhouse, guides, permits, canoes, meals on the water, any needed camping gear, and shuttles to and from the river.

Our first and last day will be at the Lost Valley Campground by the river near Ponca. The rest of the trip we will be primitive camping on the banks of the river.
