About This Adventure

Amazing View From The Pass Near Sulphide Del Rey

Duration

Four Hour Tours Available

About

Access Pinal Mountain from downtown and head up the Pinal foothill dirt route (MT-157). Cross through the junction and traverse the narrow winding road up the North face of the Pinal Mountain Range through Russell Gulch (FR-651). Careful of the narrow route and traffic, you will arrive at the location of the early mine camp of Sulphide del Rey - now a campground with facilities. This is a great place for a snack and the fresh smell of pine trees. You can't come this far and not continue a short way further on FR-651, stay left to the south side of the mountain for one heck of a view before turning back!
