This day trip takes us from Ljubljana to Škocjan caves, mysterious karst world which has no shortage of natural wonders. The exceptional volume of the underground canyon, many waterfalls and underground halls is what distinguishes the Škocjan Caves from other caves and places. After mesmerizing visit, we continue to Rakov Škocjan and learn more about the mysterious life of karstic rivers in the Rakov Škocjan regional park, first proclaimed protected landscape in Slovenia.
On the way to lunch we have an option to stop at Lake Cerknica, one of the largest intermittent lakes in Europe.
We return back to Ljubljana through the Ljubljana Marshes, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is a unique landscape at the doorstep of Ljubljana. Here you can block out the bustle of the city, meet with nature and focus on yourself and your thoughts.
