Itinerary

Sintra Village

Visit to the beautiful and historic town of Sintra, a UNESCO world heritage site. Discover the picturesque streets, the Sintra National Palace, the fountains, the churches, chapels and shrines.

Farm

We will visit a fantastic family farm located in Sintra’s hillside. On this farm, the production of wines was interrupted 100 years ago. The current owners with the help of Portuguese and French experts, have studied the local soil and climate, modernized the production and brought their vineyards back to life. At the moment, they produce red and white wines in a traditional way with high quality and national and international recognition.

Colares

A stop in Colares in the cellars of Adega regional de Colares to have a tasting of the best regional wines.

The cooperative winery at Colares (Adega Regional de Colares) was founded in 1931. It congregates today more than 50% of the total production, with an important social role in the region. Its beautiful building dates back to the late of 19th century, with an imposing interior housing wooden barrels, casks and vats totalling more than 1 million litters capacity. It is the maturing and aging place “par excellence” for the wines of this appellation.

Azenhas do Mar

Next, visit Azenhas do Mar, a coastal village in the municipality of Sintra with a very picturesque landscape. Next, make the short drive to Praia da Maçãs, a well-known beach with golden sand and clear water. Locals typically visit to spend time at the ocean as well as the near-by saltwater swimming pool.

Cabo da Roca

Discover the most westerly point of continental Europe, Cabo da Roca. From the cliff tops, enjoy the fantastic view of the beaches and the sea.

Guincho Beach and Cascais

On the way back, you will have the chance to enjoy Guincho, a beach that serves as a real sanctuary for surfing and windsurfing. Finally, visit the charming town of Cascais, former royal getaway. In modern days, it has become more touristic given its boutiques, restaurants, and hotels. Once your tour of Cascais is complete, your driver will begin your journey back to Lisbon.
