Your Day in Serbia and Macedonia
An English-speaking V travel driver will pick you up from your hotel in Sofia at 9:00 and after about 2-hour drive with various landscape you will reach the Serbian border. After crossing the border you will go a nearby town of Bosilegrad (former Yugoslavia main state) before you cross back the border with Bulgaria and head for Northern Macedonia.
Another short drive after the border crossing will take to the beautiful Monastery of Osogovo – an incredibly powerful place in the hills from the 12th century, turned into a mosque by the Ottomans and again into church. The place is very scenic and very peaceful for a walk after a few hours on the road.
Afterwards you will have lunch in a nice restaurant a la Macedonian with good grill (meat or fish) and Skopsko beer of course!
The itinerary may vary depending on road conditions, border waiting, weather, traffic or other.
