About This Adventure
Join our Homeschool Days at zMAX Dragway for an unforgettable experience where students of all grades dive into the thrilling world of motorsports through engaging STEAM activities. Explore forces, design, and engineering while enjoying hands-on learning and a unique speedway track experience on a legendary NASCAR oval.
Our Homeschool Days are designed specifically to accommodate various grades in one day. Kids will explore the world of motorsports through fun and educational STEAM activities. Students will focus on topics such as forces and motion, push and pull, physics, engineering, arts and design as it relates to motorsports.
These themed events are held multiple times a year at zMAX Dragway, a part of the Charlotte Motor Speedway facility. Your day includes 90 minutes of STEAM activities, lunch break and a speedway track experience on the iconic 1.5-mile NASCAR oval. Participants may bring a bag lunch or choose from our pizza lunch option.

What a Drag! In this Homeschool edition, students will learn all about drag and friction in Motorsports. From wind tunnels and ramps to different surfaces and shapes, kids will have fun as they see how these concepts come alive!
December 3, 2025
Engineering by Design Designing, building and testing play a key role in Motorsports. Kids will shift gears as they become the engineer. Students will have fun as they see how their accomplishments can launch, sail and propel!
