About

Up to 10 person. Custom Shallow draft, Yamaha high thrust engine with electric start and tilt & trim, side mounted Webber-style BBQ; walk in toilet, flat floor, full foam filled unsinkable hull, fire extinguisher and all required safety equipment The maximum carrying capacity is 900kg (which needs to cover all passengers & equipment including weight of eskies, ice and other personal belongings).

On the day of your hire, simply come to the Bribie Beach Shack prior to your booked time for check in. After a safety and local fishing brief, we will bring the boat in to the beach from where you can load your gear and jump on the boat. At the end of your hire period, simply return the boat to the beach area near the boat ramp at the Bribie Beach Shack where we will take care of it from there.

  • The skipper of each boat hire must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Similar to driving a bus, the designated skipper of the vessel for the day must remain at 0.0 Alcohol level, as is in charge of passengers
  • As per Marine Safety regulations, children under 12 months (1 year old) are not recommended to travel on any of our boats.
  • All children under 12 years of age must wear the lifejacket provided.
  • Due to the fast flowing nature of the Pumicestone Passage tidal conditions and as per manufacturer's recommendations, swimming in lifejackets and jumping off the vessels is not permitted under the vessel hire conditions due to insurance purposes.
  • No pets are allowed on any of our boats or watercraft as we are in a marine park.
  • All boats are strict no-smoking and no-vaping vessels.
  • Crab pots and cast nets are not permitted on this type of boat.
  • Your booked hire time includes the time spent on the hire agreement process, hire area brief and boat brief.

What to bring

To make your booking with us you will need to bring with you on the day:

  • a current Australian driver's license (vehicle)
  • credit card (or a bond of $500 in cash or on a debit card)
  • if using the BBQ: You will need to bring BBQ utensils to cook your food with, a foil tray or BBQ mat or similar to cook on, and something to clean the BBQ with after use, as a cleaning fee will apply.
  • A bin bag for your rubbish as you will need to tidy the vessel on return
  • Please bring a sharp knife with you to take on the boat. This may be required to cut the anchor rope in the case of emergency
  • Please also bring a bucket for your bait.

Bribie Beach Shack is a fully alcohol licensed bar, bait and tackle shop, cafe, take away and recreational boat hire business combined. You are welcome to bring your own gear, however, anything you may need will be available for hire or purchase prior to departure.

In the event of being overweight on the day and outside of the vessel's advertised weight limit, the vessel will not be allowed to depart, the hire will be cancelled and all monies forfeited.
