Devin started diving at age 11 in the Puget Sound and since then she has extensively experienced the warmer waters of the Caribbean, Central and South America and the South Pacific. Her most memorable dives being in Fiji, the great blue hole in Belize and the waters of the Galapagos Islands, and of course our group trip to Bonaire in April 2024. For ten years she was an exhibit diver at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA where she assisted in the feeding and care of various species of marine animals, exhibit maintenance and teaching small groups while completing her degree in Marine Science and Conservation. With well over 2 thousand logged dives she is an experienced trainer and has 15 specialty training certificates. Her passion: “To train future divers to respect, protect, care and conserve our ocean environment.”

Accommodations

Nestled behind a forest of mangroves, the resort features modern boutique accommodations with garden views and air conditioned rooms with twin, double or single bed options. Rooms come complete with a private en-suite bathroom, 24 hour hot-water, TV, safe, toiletries, fresh drinking water, and towels.

Getting There

Arrival Airport: Sorong (SOQ) Meridian Adventure Dive Resort is located in Waisai (the Capital of Raja Ampat), on the island of Waigeo which is an island across the channel from Sorong.

International flights that land in Jakarta allow for the most direct flight to Sorong (SOQ). The most ideal flight from Jakarta departs in the early hours of the morning arriving in Sorong between 06:30 – 07:10am. This allows you to get the morning ferry over to Waisai.

All tank and weights rentals are included in your ticket price. Aqualung dive equipment (Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Wetsuit, BCD) are also included in your ticket price.
