We departure from Puerto Madryn to start a trip where you will be enjoying one of the few places in the world that preserves intact the characteristics that more than 160 years ago were the astonishment of Charles Darwin. Our guide will introduce you to the local history and describe the fauna and flora of this particular area. Heading to Caleta Valdes, we pass by Punta Delgada, a protected natural area that is located in the extreme southeast of Peninsula Valdes.
Later, we arrive at our destination, Caleta Valdes and Punta Norte. We visit these two natural spots to watch Sea Lions and other sea animals.
Finally, we visit Ameghino Isthmus, a 6 km wide strip of land that connects Peninsula Valdes with the province of Chubut. There, we stop by its Interpretative Institute of Fauna. Here, visitors will understand the characteristics of local biodiversity and the interaction between animal species, geography and man by walking around the different rooms, which will provide a very educational and amusing account of the ecological features of the region and the sea fauna species that dwell the Patagonian coastline. You will also have access to a tower where you can have a gorgeous view to Golfo Nuevo and Golfo San Jose.
