About

At Outer Banks Kayak Adventures, we want to provide our customers with the best kayaking experience on the OBX. We use American-made Perception Kayaks, known for being extremely versatile, making them the top choice for beginner and intermediate paddlers. Touring kayaks are Tribes 11.5 single passenger, 13.5 dual passengers, and Pescador Pro 12 for fishing. Our SUPs are Premium Boardworks Riptide foam boards with a 10' 6" X 33" platform. This provides a stable and comfortable riding surface.

Fishing Kayaks will be available in May 2024

Adventure Tips

Check the Tide Schedule

Tides affect water depth and currents; plan your paddling around low and high tides for safer navigation.

Bring Waterproof Bags

Keep your gear dry by using waterproof storage, especially for electronics and snacks during your kayak trip.

Wear Sun Protection

The open water reflects sunlight intensely—wear UV-blocking sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself.

Scout Your Route Before Heading Out

Map out your journey and identify potential landing spots or rest areas to avoid surprises on the water.
