Montana winters can be brutally cold; dressing in layers helps regulate your temperature during the ride.

Bring Goggles for Eye Protection

Snow and wind can impair vision—goggles ensure clear sight and protect your eyes from flying ice or debris.

Check Weather Conditions

Weather in the mountains can change rapidly; always confirm trail conditions and forecasts before heading out.

Ride Within Your Skill Level

The Switchback is powerful—take time to familiarize yourself and avoid over-speeding on unfamiliar trails.
