  • The nature and mining history of this Magical Town will come together on your tour through tunnels and trails where your senses meet again
  • Go hiking and climb the mountain to admire the Cedral lake
  • Admire the natural formations made up of whimsical rocks that resemble beautiful and intricate labyrinths
  • Enter a mine and learn about the extraction process from our local guide
  • Taste the delicious local food and accompany it with a sweet bread from a bakery inside the town(not included)
  • Visit the Main Square and the Parish of the Immaculate Conception with a neoclassical style, quarry façade, and Tuscan columns

What to Expect

  • Discover one of the beautiful magical towns of the state of Hidalgo, where you can enjoy its nature, its architecture, and enter one of its mines to live an unforgettable experience.

  • Our first stop will be at the Cedral park, Hiking is the main sport activity of the place and, It is a bit challenging but also relaxing, you can do it by established routes on the different trails, which are divided according to their duration and difficulty.

  • After that we will visit the peace mine, a currently inactive but clearly illustrative mine to learn about the extraction and collection process of minerals such as silver and gold, a process explained through our local guide of the zone

  • We will come back to the town of Mineral del Chico where you will visit the Purísima Concepción church, that has a quarry neoclassical style, and the source of cast iron located in the central garden in reference to the Goddess Leda and her Swan at the tip of it, which was designed especially for this place.

  • You can taste the local food and eat at the gastronomic market where we will try quesadillas de gualumbo, famous of the region and known for its 30 cm long. (not included)

  • We will give you some free time to get to know the place and before the afternoon falls we will return to Mexico City to conclude our tour.

Note: Suitable for adults and children who can take long walks. Not suitable for people who suffer from back problems, heart conditions, pregnant women or who suffer from claustrophobia.
