About This Adventure

If you would like to organize a school group, community organization or special family/friend/group outing and have MKC staff members paddle with you as safety boaters or guides, please give us a call or send an email @ info@milwaukeekayak.com

We can talk about general timelines, dates, rates, how it all works, our rivers and everything else to make your tour fun, safe and enjoyable.

OTHER OPTIONS FOR GROUP TOURS

Paddle on your own - enjoy a really nice day out on your own as a group, similar to a daily rental, as an option too. Upon arrival, we will outfit you with the proper kayak (canoe or paddleboard), life jacket and paddle. We will review the river map and be sure everyone is comfortable on-land before venturing out. We can provide a $5 discount for group rental rates over 12 boats. Call or email to make a reservation and receive the discount.

Another option - our scheduled MKC Weekly Guided Tours are safe, fun and educational. We gather as a group, launch and paddle together. All of our guided tours include safety boaters to help guide everyone along the way. Sometimes we will make a stop on the river where we can get out, stretch and/or grab a beverage – it just depends on the tour. Most of our tours are 2-3 hours long with 2/2.5 hours spent paddling on our rivers.

Most of our educational tours are Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5:30pm-8pm. We also offer MKC Good Morning Paddles, MKC Afternoon Paddles and MKC Sunset Paddles (which include our educational paddles with organizations doing great things for our rivers, environment and Milwaukee).

Our MKC Weekly Guided Tours include safety boaters and guides, and you are welcome to join any of our guided tours as a group. Cost for any group is the same as you see online in each MKC Guided Tour. Our MKC Guided Tours have a max capacity of 20 participants.

You can find our MKC Guided Tour schedule by clicking on the “BOOK NOW” button on the bottom right of our home page.

GENERAL INFO:

All rentals include a boat (kayak, paddleboard, canoe), life jacket and paddle. We have a limited supply of dry bags you can borrow for your belongings. Please remember we are not responsible for lost, stolen or wet items. Life jackets must be worn at all times when near or on the water, thanks.

All participants need to be 12+ to paddle their own kayaks. If under the age of 12, then that paddler can share a tandem kayak or canoe with an adult (18+). All participants need to know how to swim.

The weight limit of our most stable kayak is 275 lbs depending on river and weather conditions. If weight is a concern, please give us a call to chat and/or make an appointment to talk about options or test paddling.

Everyone must submit a waiver before arrival. When making your reservation, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to our waiver. You can also find our waiver on the top right of our website.
