About
Silver Lake Dunes are a lofty, 2,000-acre sand mountain that separates miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and the 690-acre Silver Lake. Closed during the winter, the Silver Lake Sand Dunes State Park ORV Area open season runs 7 days a week from April 1–October 31st, 2022.
Seasonal hours:
Early Season (April-May 1st): 9:00am-8:00pm Peak Season (May 1st–September 15th): 9:00am–10:00pm Late Season (September 15th–Oct 31st) 9:00am–8:00pm
- last rentals are 2 hours before closing
When you arrive:
- You'll check in off-site at our store
- Get a Dune Driving Orientation
- Get an introduction to your Dunes Ready Jeep -Follow the leader right into the Silver Lake Park Dunes Ready Entrance, less than 1 block away
- Enjoy your introduction to Dune Driving for a 1-hour tour!
- exit the park and end back at our shop

Important Info
- Each Tour Requires the purchase of One Jeep Tour DRIVER which includes your five-seat Jeep, Jeep Tour Passengers are an additional cost each but cannot be booked without a DRIVER.
- Arrive 30 minutes before tour start time to get your Dunes orientation at SunBuggy shop -Bring your own Car seat if your child requires one.
- Waivers are sent in confirmation email must be completed before arrival
- State Park fees and fuel charges are paid for in advance so it's a no hassle on the day of your rental!
