Discover Wynwood’s vibrant street art in a fresh light with the Wynwood Graffiti Golf Cart Tour AFTER DARK. Cruise through Miami’s iconic murals and neon-lit streets while uncovering the stories behind this urban outdoor gallery.
1 Hour • After Dark! • Small Group
Wynwood is a different animal at night – sassier and with an eye on the party, but just as filled with art as it is during the day. We will take the most scenic route for the time of day – the illuminated streets and lots. We will fill you in on the backstory of Wynwood and how it keeps on changing and molting. We will take time to show you and discuss some techniques of muralists and how taggers still do their thing, no matter what creation is on the wall and why. You will see murals and hear some of the stories behind them, created by artists from here in South Florida and all over the globe. There will be opportunities for picture taking.
And if you’re interested in the dining or club scene, we can give you tips based on our own experience.
What to Expect: An ambient tour, pleasant temperatures, comfortable for any age, thanks to the golf cart. We drive slowly around the art district and make strategic stops for discussion and pictures. You will see dozens of murals and feel enriched both by learning about local history and appreciating the skill of artists and the effect of their creations.
Low-light conditions at night mean having a good camera or smartphone helps capture vibrant murals under street lighting.
Miami nights can be warm and humid; lightweight, breathable clothing is best for comfort during the tour.
Although the tour is by golf cart, expect some walking at stops to get closer looks at murals.
Bring water since Miami’s subtropical climate means humidity and warmth, even after dark.
Wynwood’s transformation began in early 2000s, evolving from a warehouse district to an internationally recognized street art district by 2009.
