Every day is different on Island Style Snorkeling. Our first stop is typically the beautiful Molokini Crater. We start nice and early to ensure we get a great spot at the Crater without a crowd. With typically over 100' of visibility and very calm waters, Molokini Crater showcases some of the best conditions Maui has to offer. Our guides will take you to the best spots that day and show you the beauty of the marine preserve. Our second stop is determined by conditions, passengers on board, and where our captain wants to adventure. It is typically another one of our beautiful South Shore dive and snorkel sites with the possibility to see turtles, wrecks, caverns, and/or anything else you may not have seen at Molokini and want to experience.
We always have a fabulous trip planned, but sometimes mother nature does not cooperate. If conditions are not safe or suitable for Molokini Crater or any other particular site, the captain may make a judgement call and take you to the best possible swim spots of the day. So although Molokini Crater is our planned destination, if it is not safe to swim or snorkel there, we will adjust our day accordingly to ensure you have a fantastic experience.
"Safe and Fun, in that order!" That is our motto. If we can't do both we aren't doing it. If for whatever reason conditions are so bad that the captain decides to "call off the day" we will happily reschedule you or offer you a refund.
Protect the delicate coral ecosystems by using only reef-safe sunscreen during your snorkel adventure.
Drink plenty of water before and after your snorkel sessions to stay energized in the tropical sun.
Consider wearing a snorkel vest for added buoyancy and comfort, especially in deeper waters of Molokini.
Ensure sunglasses, hats, and cameras are safely stowed or tethered to prevent loss overboard.
Molokini Crater formed about 230,000 years ago from volcanic cinder cone activity and has long been a sacred fishing ground for Native Hawaiians.
Visitors are encouraged to respect no-touch policies and avoid anchoring on the reef to help preserve Molokini’s delicate marine habitats.
