Our 30 minute ride is perfect for children and those who feel an hour would be to long. we are able to have a guide walk your horse. Our Led (Hand walked) trail ride is the perfect opportunity to get a small child or individual who may not be as comfortable controlling their own horse on a horse and experience the beautiful trails of Northern Michigan.
You are able to join in on this ride as a regular rider or you are welcome to walk the trails with us!
For your safety Helmets are required and are provided by CJ's Stable. If you do have your own helmet you are welcome to bring your own ASTM F1163-Standard and SEI-certified helmet. (Winter- Wear a thin hat to fit under the helmet, make sure your hat does not have a yarn ball on top)
In the Summer months we recommend applying bug spray as they can be a nuisance on the trail.
Long pants are recommended as it can be more comfortable in the saddle but they are not required
Closed-toe shoes are required ( no sandals or flip flops)
All Riders are required to Sign a Liability Release form. A Parent or Legal Guardian MUST sign for a minor.
All Trail Rides are weather permitting. If the Weather is Stormy, 85+ Degrees, Icy Etc your Ride will be rescheduled.
Closed-toe shoes with a small heel help you maintain a secure grip in the stirrups during the ride.
Arriving 15 minutes before your ride allows time to get comfortable with your horse and hear safety instructions.
Northern Michigan weather changes quickly; layers are recommended even on warm days.
