Season after season, London designers produce some of the world’s most exciting fashions – thanks to London’s fashion colleges, its tailoring traditions and its vibrant street and club scenes. This tour is for those who want to get behind Fashion Week catwalks and find out more about the most successfully inventive designers and their creative inspirations. We visit cutting-edge shops like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, discussing each designer’s approach, catwalk breakthroughs and personal story. We focus especially on British designers and designers who have chosen to make London their brand’s retail home, like Rei Kawakubo with Dover Street Market. We show clothes that can’t be seen elsewhere, and we have brilliant spaces to explore where we can chat about all that’s happening now, who is wearing what and why some designs fail and others work. We aim to make contemporary fashion approachable and accessible, as we’re all on the same journey to find and develop our personal style.
