Start Slow and Steady

If you're new to paddleboarding, begin paddling slowly near the shore to get your balance before venturing into open water.

Watch Weather Conditions

Check local weather, as sudden winds can create choppy lake conditions that make paddling difficult or unsafe.

Wear a Life Vest

Always wear a personal flotation device while on the board, regardless of swimming ability, for safety on open water.

Protect Your Gear

Bring a waterproof bag or case to keep phones and keys safe while paddling on the lake.
