This guided tour will explore the “4 Pillars”of the black community that helped shaped this city. We safely explore the city in an electric golf car, visiting historically black neighborhoods and explore remnants of the Harlem Renaissance. Jacksonville has a rich Black American story to illuminate and we learn about those citizens who contributed to art, literature, music, religion and activism that yielded a movement of Artisans and Activists, Builders, and Entrepreneurs that helped give birth to the ""Harlem of The South"".

This tour is 8 to 10 miles and we admire modern mural exhibitions that depict past and preset black citizens, we visit places of interests and memorials relevant to individuals; you’ll read placards and learn about those who helped to shape a National Labor Movements since 1865. We visit disappeared historic Black neighborhoods where Black wealth once resisted, but now are stories of a time gone by. We’ll stop at the first public school for black children and hear about local and National black leaders that have influenced the Harlem Renaissance, NAACP, labor movements, and “The Great Migration” of black Americans from the south and we cannot forget about Art, Music and Sports.

This tour dives into the cites namesake and other city founders; we will cruise around exploring history and sometimes enjoy views of the St. Johns River. We learn how freedom was just across the river for runaway enslaved Africans seeking refuge and freedom into old East Spanish Florida from British Plantations. We will drive past locations related to First Nations People, Parks, Monuments: Pre and Post Civil War time period, Emancipation, Reconstruction, the Great Fire, the "Jim Crow" eras, the 1960’s Civil Rights movement and activities relevant today.
