Take a walk with your pirate guide, who will share their stories of betrayal, treachery, and tragedy from the Golden Age of Piracy, Colonial North Carolina and Beaufort's past!

History is brought to life as your guide regales you with an assortment of supernatural stories of ghost ships, haunted houses, the ghosts of the Civil War, and the history of the Beaufort area, including the legends of the infamous pirate Blackbeard! As enjoyable as it is entertaining, the Beaufort Ghost Walk is one of our most popular attractions and one that shouldn’t be missed!

Founded in 1709, Beaufort is the 3rd oldest town in NC. Off of the coast of Beaufort lies the "Graveyard of the Atlantic" which has claimed over 5,000 ships since the 1500's... Our crown jewel tour, the Beaufort Ghost Walk has been uodated for 2023 to offer guests a host of Chilling new stories along with many of the Heart Pounding tales that have brought thousands of people back to Beaufort year after year.

All of the stories you will hear have been extensively researched and well documented and the folklore and legends have been carefully preserved from local storytellers like Grayden Paul, Jean Day, Cynthia Moore Brown, Terrance Zepke, Judge Charles Whedbee, Nancy Roberts and many others.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour start time to check in with your pirate guide.

You MUST arrive early to check in as we often run multiple tours each night. Our tours are strategically timed to run on guidelines set by the Town of Beaufort. We cannot wait on late arrivals as it would throw off our tour times. If you are late you will either be asked to reschedule, move to another tour time if one is available, or you will forfeit your tickets- no refunds will be given.
