Half-day trip to El Yunque rainforest. Enjoy an amazing world of nature trails, waterfalls, and scenic views. Learn about the history and biology of the area from your knowledgeable guide.
Explore the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest system on this half-day trip. Walk the park’s nature trails, surrounded by tree orchids, giant ferns and wildflowers, as you venture to a camera-worthy collection of waterfalls and panoramic vistas in northeast Puerto Rico. Start your day with pickup around 8:00 am from select hotels in San Juan. Then drive from San Juan to El Yunque, admiring the typical native towns and changing scenery as you ascend higher into the rainforest. This ecosystem is named after the ancient Indian spirit Yuquiyu, who was believed to have once reigned over all of Puerto Rico, protecting the island and its people. Begin an easy walk on one of the trails, keeping an eye out for any of the area’s wildlife. Make your way along paths thick with tree orchids, giant ferns, wild flowers and tropical hardwood trees, and Waterfall.
Your snorkeling tour guides will start you out from the beach shoreline where they will go over safety and fundamentals of snorkeling. Usually 5-10 min. Getting Comfortable: Your dive pro will start you out in waist deep water (3ft) to get you comfortable with using the equipment and teach you some basic snorkel skills. Everyone learns snorkeling and gets comfortable differently and at different timing which is why we make all of the tours private with your own snorkel guides for you and your group. Guided Snorkel Tour: After the guides get you comfortable and they are comfortable with you they will give you a tour in the ocean, showing you all the beautiful aquatic life and fish. 2 hours
