Step into the heart of Dublin’s revolutionary past on a private, intimate walking tour tracing the 1916 Rising and subsequent conflicts. Limited to 10 guests, this two-hour journey connects you directly to the city’s untold stories.
1916 Rebellion Walking Tour offers focused, two-hour historical walking tours in Dublin that examine the events and sites connected to the 1916 Easter Rising, the Tan War, and the Irish Civil War. Led on the signature experience by author and historian Lorcan Collins, the tour presents primary locations and narratives that shaped modern Ireland.
The business presents two distinct options: the public 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour — described as Dublin’s Original 1916 Tour — which is an immersive 2-hour route through pivotal Rising sites, and a Private Tour limited to ten people that provides the same detailed interpretation in a more intimate setting. Both experiences center on site-based storytelling, connecting physical locations with the historical events and key figures involved in the Rising and the subsequent conflicts.
Trust is grounded in the guide’s credentials: Lorcan Collins appears as author and historian on promotional materials for the signature tour, offering researched context and commentary during the walk. The private option’s cap of 10 participants supports close engagement and tailored interpretation for groups of friends, family, or colleagues.
Practical details are consistent across offerings: each tour is scheduled as a two-hour walking experience that visits multiple historical sites in Dublin relevant to 1916 and its aftermath. The tours are designed for visitors seeking an authoritative, site-focused exploration of Ireland’s pivotal early 20th-century events.
