About

This tour is a fantastic way to get an overview of the beauty of Coeur d'Alene and its history. This approximately 2 hour tour will take you along the lakeshore with its picturesque homes and locals beaches. We will make our way through McEuen Park as we head toward the Centennial Trail at the Couer d'Alene Resort, which has the country's longest floating boardwalk, nearly a mile long. As we continue towards Fort Sherman we will ride through City Park and along the Coeur d'Alene shoreline and beach areas. After visiting the Officer Quarters, Magazine Room and Military Chapel (dated 1880) at Fort Sherman we will ride over to the restored Carousel which was rescued from the Playland Pier that operated at the lake from 1942-1947. As we make our way back into the downtown area we will visit the Roosevelt School (1905), and the old Northern Pacific Railroad Depot. As we snake our way back through local neighborhoods to our starting point, we will travel back through McEuen Park to visit the Dedication to Workers statues, the large Sun Dial, and the adventures of Mudgy and Millie. The entire tour will be narrated by our professional guides with audio headsets so you wont miss a thing. Our guides will take photos and videos along the way and you will be able to download them for free at the end of your tour. Your tour will include a 15-20 minute hands-on personal instruction and practice time on the safe operations of the Segway. We will then head out for an approximately 9 mile ride through downtown Coeur d'Alene and the surrounding area. There are public restrooms available along the way and we will make a couple of stops to stretch our legs to take a break from riding. A bottled water will be provided for each rider. The ride will last about an hour and forty-five minutes and will return to our starting point. Your guided tour will take you around downtown Coeur D'Alene and surrounding area. The tour will be narrated with points of interest identified, along with some of the local history of Coeur d'Alene and its' beginnings.
