  • Spend as long as you want up to 5:25 p.m at Carrot Island
  • Book your return trip set up when checking in at ticket booth*
  • Pick up times available at 25 & 55 on the hour, last pick up 5:25pm
  • Please arrive 15min before your scheduled departure. The scheduled start time is when the boat leaves.

  • The ferry will drop you off at Carrot Island, which is part of the Rachel Carson Reserve, where you can spend an hour or the entire day enjoying the nature trails looping through a variety of unique environments. Explore mudflats, uplands and salt marshes where over 200 species of birds, 52 species of fish, 47 species of invertebrates and more than 40 horses call home. Experience nature trails, horses, hiking and wildlife.
  • This is any nature lover’s dream realized with a great environment for bird watching enthusiasts or nature photographers. Enjoy scenic nature trails, horses, hiking, exploring wildlife and much more.
  • Come prepared, there are lots of marsh areas. Wear shoes that can get muddy and protect your feet from sandspurs and cactus. Always bring sunscreen and bug spray.

While All Dogs are welcome on our ferry boats at no extra charge, we do not recommend dogs for the nature trails because of the cactuses and sandspurs.
