Embark on a captivating half-day tour of Cairns, exploring its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Visit the iconic St. Monica’s Cathedral, enjoy a guided tour of the Cairns Museum, and relax with Devonshire Tea. Conclude your adventure with breathtaking views and a stroll along the picturesque Palm Cove beach.

Itinerary and Inclusions

You will be collected from your accommodation as you travel in air-conditioned comfort with your local guide. Your afternoon tour begins at the water's edge at the Cairns Marlin Marina, Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

Your day’s itinerary…

  • St. Monica’s Cathedral This Heritage Listed cathedral, dedicated as a memorial to the Battle of the Coral Sea, houses 24 unique stained-glass windows depicting the creation story. They are reputably the largest themed stained-glass windows in the world
  • Cairns Museum A dedicated museum guide will take you on an exclusive tour to share stories about living in the tropics of our culture, sugar cane, railways, rainforests and reefs. Here you can discover the real Cairns!
  • (Free re-admission to the Cairns Museum during your stay in Cairns)
  • Afternoon Tea. Take a break and enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea at Noa’s Café in the leafy suburb of Edge Hill.
  • Cairns Botanic Garden - Renown as one of the best exhibitions of tropical plants in Australia, your guided tour will showcase key garden areas, including the Conservatory and the Aboriginal Plant Use section.
  • Relax and enjoy the sights -Have your camera ready as we visit a spectacular lookout with views over the city of Cairns and the Coral Sea before continuing on to Lower Barron River Gorge National Park and Surprise Creek Falls. - (Presently not accessible due to Cyclone Jasper December 2023)
  • Palm Cove -Take a stroll along the jetty or beach in this picture-perfect location, fringed with coconut trees. Nestled behind the beach is the quiet seaside suburb of Palm Cove, with its’ magnificent paperbark trees. Your day of discovery comes to a close as you are returned to your chosen accommodation approx 6.00pm
