About

New for 2025 - visitors will be able to walk round the Engineering works as part of an exhibition hall experience.

Visitors will be able to see a number of Heritage Trams, as well as the machinery that looks after them as well as a history of Blackpool Tram system and it's future.

The site will be open for visitors from 10am until 2pm.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

All the money that is raised will go in to the restoration fund of the Tram shed and engineering works.

Please note at this time the tour is restricted to our engineering workshop and does not include access to the main tram shed which is currently closed.

The workshop is unheated, so bring layers to stay comfortable especially during colder months.

Look for the Tramtown Sign

The entrance can be easily missed; watch for the Tramtown sign at Hopton Road and Blundell Street corner.

On-Street Parking Only

No parking on site; free parking is available on surrounding streets—plan accordingly.

No Tram Rides Included

This experience is a workshop tour only; the main tram depot and rides are currently closed to visitors.
