Historic Cold Spring Village preserves and interprets 19th-century rural life through a living history campus that hosts seasonal events, guided tours, and family-friendly experiences. The Village presents regular Ghost Walks on Fridays until October, lantern-lit Ghoul Spring Village walks, private Village walking tours, Evening House Tours, and a Village By Candlelight with fall foliage wine and beer tasting. General admission tickets provide access to the Village and its historic structures. Visitors can book An Evening with Louisa, a dinner and a show featuring acclaimed re-enactor Pat Jordan portraying Louisa May Alcott; seating is limited to ensure an intimate experience. Guided tours guarantee visits to at least four historic buildings, including both bottom and top floors, led by experienced interpreters who share researched stories and first-person interpretation. Seasonal haunted offerings include an 8th Annual haunted walk‑thru with options for a milder stroll or a spookier route, making it suitable for a range of ages. Lantern-lit tours invite guests to explore clamshell paths and capture paranormal moments, rain or shine. The Village emphasizes authenticity, educational storytelling, and visitor safety. Ticketed events often have limited capacity or scheduled dates, so advanced booking is recommended. Programming ranges from hands-on historical interpretation to evening performances and culinary events tied to historic themes. Whether seeking a daytime walking tour, an immersive evening performance, or a family-friendly haunted experience, Historic Cold Spring Village delivers curated, interpreter-led programs rooted in documented history and engaging presentation. Special events often feature costumed interpreters, demonstrations, and hands-on activities for all ages.
