Long before Branson became known for its variety of shows, excellent shopping and dining, museums, and first-class golf, the Mabe Family assembled downtown on the banks of Lake Taneycomo and played for visiting fishermen. Known as the first family of performers to create a Branson show, they abandoned their lakefront venue in the early 60s to build a theater in Branson’s new area for entertainment, Highway 76—fondly known to all who live and visit here as ‘The Strip.’ Generations of Mabes have always kept audiences in stitches with their comedy antics, currently the kingdom of Droopy Drawers, Jr., and tapping their feet to popular classic and new country tunes. A strong line-up of musicians and vocalists at the “Baldknobbers” has always been led by family members; currently, Patty, Tim, Denton, Brent, and Brandon carry the Mabe torch that was lit by their parents and grandparents back in 1959.

The Mabes work hard to bring you a fabulous show each season, introducing new songs and always making sure you get a lot of good laughs!
