Enjoy premier views of thrilling F50 catamaran races while savoring delicious food and drinks. Plus, gain exclusive access to the Race Village for even more excitement on Navy Pier!
Experience the 2023 United States SailGP Chicago races from the water aboard Tall Ship Windy on June 16 and June 17, 2023. You’ll be close to the action with premier viewing from the ship as we anchor near the racecourse. Enjoy the thrilling speeds and exhilarating racing as rival teams, including Jimmy Spithill’s United States, battle it out in short, intense races competing on the F50 catamaran – a race boat that “flies” out of the water and can reach speeds in excess of 60 mph!
The 148’ Windy is spacious, with three decks: the fore deck, midship deck and aft deck. The official race commentary will be broadcast throughout the ship.
We will depart from our dock on Navy Pier, with Admirals Club (Premier) boarding first, promptly at 2:45pm, followed by VIP and then General Admission ticket holders for a 3pm departure. Enjoy our full bar and boxed cheeseboard and charcuterie lunch options.
New this year, all United States SailGP Chicago Tall Ship Windy guests will also have access to the United States SailGP Chicago Race Village on Navy Pier. The Race Village will be open from 3pm-6pm on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 and you get to choose which day you attend! You can attend the Race Village on the same day you sail with us, or if you sail with us on Friday, you can still attend the Race Village on Saturday or vice versa. Visit the Tall Ship Windy ticket booth on the day you’d like to visit the Race Village to get your ticket.
To ensure optimal race viewing, we will not sail during this event. We will return to the dock after the race ends or by 6:30pm.
