Research and Selection: Clients should carefully select a charter based on the type of fishing experience they desire, considering factors like location, type of fish targeted, boat size, and customer reviews.
Booking and Confirmation: Once a charter is selected, clients will book their trip, and receive a confirmation detailing the trip date, duration, departure time, and location.
Preparation: Clients will be informed of what to bring. This usually includes appropriate clothing, sun protection, and any personal fishing gear they prefer, however noting that adequate fishing gear is always supplied. We don’t supply food, however we have bottled water readily available.
Check-in: Clients should arrive at the designated location on time, where they'll meet their captain. This is a good time to discuss the day’s itinerary and any specific requests or concerns.
Safety Briefing: Before departure, there will be a safety briefing. Clients will learn about the boat's safety equipment and procedures. The Fishing Experience: Once underway, the captain will head to the fishing spots. Clients can expect guidance from the crew on using the equipment and techniques to catch the targeted species. Charters often provide all fishing gear, bait, and licences.
Support and Instruction: For beginners or those looking to improve, the crew will offer instruction and support, helping with baiting hooks, casting, and landing fish.
Relaxation and Enjoyment: In addition to fishing, clients can enjoy the beauty of the open water and, in many cases, wildlife sightings. It's not just about the catch but also the experience of being at sea.
Return and Dock: At the end of the fishing trip, the boat will return to the dock. Clients often have the opportunity to take pictures with their catch.
Fish Cleaning and Packaging: All catch will be cleaned for you by the captain and packaged up. We strongly recommend bringing your own esky with ice packs that can be left in the car to keep the catch cool on the ride home.
Weather and Conditions: Clients should be prepared for the trip to be rescheduled in case of bad weather or sea conditions. We allow return of full deposit if the trip is cancelled/rescheduled.
Flexibility: Fishing conditions vary, so clients should be open to changing fishing spots or techniques as advised by the captain. Physical Requirements: Fishing can be physically demanding, and seasickness can be an issue for some. Clients should consider their physical condition and prepare accordingly.
