Tour description

Huskies are born to run, yet even these incredible creatures require muscle training for the upcoming winter season. Join our tour and become part of their journey as these lovable super-athletes of the animal world pull wheeled carts across Lapland’s fields and forests. Inhale the invigorating autumn air and witness Arctic nature's vibrant transformation as winter approaches. You’ll receive instructions on how to guide the cart, and after the tour, you’ll get to savor a hot drink and learn more about the fascinating lives of our huskies.

Please note

Our husky farm is a few minutes’ walk from the resort.

For the well-being of our dogs, husky rides are available when the temperature is 10°C or colder.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

• Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

• The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
• The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center (Korkalonkatu 32) and Santa Claus Village (Napapiiri I, by the main road, E75)
• Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
• You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
• Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
• The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
• If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

• You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
• Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
• Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
• Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
