!Important Policies

Weight-to-Height Policy ⚖

The overall weight limit for our rides is 280 pounds, with minimum height requirements for certain weight ranges to ensure our horses' well-being. Before riding, we check each rider’s weight and height; riders must agree to this check-in to ride.

  • Riders 151lbs-200lbs must be 5'0" or taller.
  • Riders 201lbs-250lbs must be 5'3" or taller.
  • Riders 251lbs-280lbs must be 5'5" or taller.

These limits are all about keeping everyone safe and our horses happy and healthy for years to come. We understand these rules might seem strict and uncomfortable, but they're necessary. Thank you for understanding and cooperating with us. ☺︎ You can read more about why we do this here

Waiver Policy 📜

All riders must read and sign a waiver before participating in any riding activities. A link to the waiver will be provided in your confirmation email after you complete your booking. Please read and sign the waiver linked in your confirmation email before arriving for your ride.

Late Policy ⏰

We ask all riders to arrive 15 minutes before your ride time to check-in and weigh-in. If you are late, it will cut into your ride time. Our horses begin their work as soon as they leave their pasture. We wrap up rides on time out of respect for them!

No shows/no contact 15 minutes after your ride time will be considered a cancellation not eligible for a refund or reschedule.

Substance Policy 🚭

We are a drug-free and alcohol-free establishment. Riders who arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to ride with no possibility of refunds.

Cancelation & Reschedule Policy 📆

To cancel or make changes to your reservation, please contact us at 616-422-8200 at least 24 hours before your scheduled ride time. Late cancellations significantly impact our small family ranch as we often turn away other customers to hold your spot.

  • You may cancel your ride up to 24 hours before your scheduled time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your ride time are not eligible for a refund.
  • You may reschedule your ride up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. Reschedules are not permitted within 24 hours of your ride time.
  • No shows/no contact 15 minutes after your ride time will be considered a cancellation and not eligible for a refund or reschedule.
  • If Rise & Ride Ranch cancels your ride due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a gift card for the full amount of your ride to use at your convenience.

Please make sure you have read and understood our rules and guidelines before you book your ride.
