Jeffs “Mountains & Tunnels” excursion will be running the first Thursday of every month and if the excursion is booked out, we will run another trip on the third Thursday of the month.
The itinerary will be as follows: • Board the Westlander (Diesel train) Toowoomba Train station at 6.45am for departure promptly at 7am – enjoy continental breakfast on the train – cereal, milk, fruit, juice, or tea/coffee while you enjoy a leisurely trip through the many tunnels, Toowoomba bypass, Spring Bluff station to name a few. Jeff will give you a running commentary as you travel on the train. • Disembark the train at Helidon Station and board the Shuttlebug bus • Short visit to St Luke’s Church Toowoomba. • Arrive at the Royal Bulls Head Inn, enjoy morning tea, Scones, jam and cream while you listen to the guest poet entertain you. • Bus will leave stopping for a short visit to St Mathews church Drayton then on to lunch at DownsSteam Train Museum • Lunch will be served at the DownsSteam Loco Café approximately 12/12.30. • Return you to the Toowoomba Train Station after lunch.
