About

Length: 9.4 miles

We will all meet at Kletzsch Park, Picnic Area 5. Our luxury van will transport you up to Thiensville where we will start tour. Depending on the wind and water level the tour will take somewhere between 3 to 4 hours. There are a couple of nice places to stop to stretch your legs. Lots of nature to be seen! Keep to the LEFT of all islands on this PADDLE!!

What Will be Provided for my Tour?

Each person will be equipped with a canoe or kayak, a paddle, a PFD and van transportation from the take out (Picnic Area 5) up Thiensville

Important

All paddlers must sign a waiver. Anyone under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign for them. Please be on time at the meeting spot, the van cannot wait for late passengers. Also, ask your van driver for any guidance you might need to make for a successful trip. When moving a canoe or kayak, please carry the boat and never drag it on the ground. Ask for help if needed. Trip times do depend on wind, water level, stops made, and the amount of paddling happening in the boat. We encourage you to paddle!

What to Bring

Please dress for the weather! Hats, sunblock, sunglasses, layered clothing, water shoes, swimsuit. These items may end up wet or possibly muddy, FYI. You may have to get out of your boat to walk in the river if you hit a sand bar or at the take out. A dry bag for your phone, camera, and keys if you choose to bring them. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged possessions. A small cooler with beverages and snacks is a great way to enjoy the paddle even more.
