The Ultimate Agritourism Food & Wine Retreat!

Dear Friends & Family —

We’d like to invite you to come out to play in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains about an hour west of Washington D.C. We’re having so much fun with our weekend wine classes. We have grouped a few classes so you can come once and learn several wine and food lessons with us. Our Wine Retreat delves into 5 wine and food seminars, an evening farm to table dinner filled with laughter, learning and fun, and finishes with our famous Choco-Vino Challenge final exam.

You can now reserve our Wine retreat classes for arrival on Saturday to Sunday or for arrival on Friday for evening classes to Sunday.

IMPORTANT NOTE

FRIDAY RETREATERS -- Please plan to arrive anytime before 5pm on Friday if you reserved a Friday Retreat. Friday Retreaters will start with Guess the $100 Bordeaux Happy Hour, followed by Winemakers Dinner as we explore how to choose a wine for occasions and enjoy virtual journeys through famous wine regions with food pairings.

SATURDAY RETREATERS — Please plan to arrive before 2pm if you reserved a Saturday Retreat. Saturday Retreaters start with a 2pm class with Happy hour class, Splurge class and wine makers dinner class to follow on Saturday evening.

Our Agritourism Retreat includes:

~~ Guess the $100 Bordeaux Happy Hour Class

~~ Value / Premier / Splurge Class

— Winemakers Dinner where we explore occasions. Which occasions call for a “Value” wine? Which occasions need a “premier” wine? And which occasions are so epic they are worthy of a “Splurge” wine? For dinner we’ll enjoy 3 wines blind. They will be strategically selected to pair with the evenings dinner menu. The three wines will all be the same varietal with different price points! Can you guess which is which and if one is so much better than the others that it’s worth the splurge?

— a morning class

— Our famous Choco-Vino Challenge

— a Vintners Table Learning Lunch

By the end of the retreat you will know how to get perfect wine + food pairings every time!

For those of you who are not quite local, we would like to invite you to please please plan to be our guest during our retreat. Our house is just our private winemakers farm house. But we have 4 spare bedrooms. We’ve been instructed by the Health department that we must use the plumbing in every room or the pipes will rot. Friends don’t let friends pipes rot. And friends don’t let friends drive late at night. So, it’s a win-win situation.

We would feel better if you stay with us on during the retreat (completely free) because sometimes we tend to keep playing with family and friends into the evening.

Wine Retreat includes several of our experiential wine education lessons at the regular class price, plus Winemakers Dinner, and our famous Choco-Vino Challenge.

Wine classes always happen on Saturdays and Sundays at Little Washington Winery. All of our classes are available to participate in individually. Our Retreat is just intended for friends and family to make one trip out and get in on several educational classes during a visit.

Discounts and Refunds are not accepted at all for Wine Retreat because we must purchase catering in advance. If you’d like to come, go to our class calendar and find your favorite Retreat date to reserve.
