About This Adventure

Join us for a delightful morning at the annual Down on the Farm Breakfast at Hansen’s Dairy Tour Center! Savor a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring local favorites while enjoying family-friendly activities. After your meal, hop on a trolley to meet our cows and kangaroos. A memorable experience awaits!

Come join our cows for breakfast!

Our annual Down on the Farm Breakfast will take place Saturday, Oct. 25, at Hansen’s Dairy Tour Center, 8461 Lincoln Rd., Hudson. Enjoy a bounty of local food and farm activities during this family-friendly and traditionally sold-out event.

The farm-to-table menu includes:

  • French Toast (Mersim’s bread, Waterloo; Hansen’s whole milk; Groothuis eggs, Nashua; Hansen’s butter; Great River Maple Syrup, Garnavillo)
  • Yogurt Parfait (Country View Dairy Yogurt, Hawkeye; O’Brien’s Own Granola, Center Point)
  • Edgewood Pork Sausage Links, Edgewood
  • Apples from Apples on the Avenue, Nashua
  • Fat Cup Coffee, Waterloo, with Hansen’s heavy cream
  • Wilson’s Apple Cider, Iowa City
  • Hansen’s white and chocolate milk

There will be two serving times: 8 to 9:30 a.m. and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Buy your tickets online in advance! Tickets will NOT be sold in stores or at the breakfast. Only 200 tickets per serving time will be sold.

Please plan to arrive during your scheduled serving time, then jump on the trolley to the farm after your meal for fun activities and to see our cows and kangaroos. No matter the serving time slot, attendees may stay as long as they like or until the event ends at 12:30 p.m.
