Wear comfortable, quick drying clothes that allow for freedom of movement. Yoga, athletic or swimwear apparel is fine. Do not wear fleece, jeans or heavy cotton. Shoes are not worn on the boards.
Arriving a bit early ensures you get your paddleboard properly fitted and time to acclimate to the water before the session starts.
Choose clothing that dries quickly because you will get wet during paddleboard yoga on the lake.
Even surrounded by water, you need to stay hydrated—especially if taking part in yoga and paddling under the sun.
Apply water-resistant sunscreen to guard against UV exposure during your time on the lake.
Punderson State Park was established in 1951, named after the Punderson family, original landowners who turned the area into a public recreational spot.
The park emphasizes sustainable water use and limits motorized boats on the lake to preserve its peaceful environment and aquatic health.
Stable boards designed specifically for yoga provide balance and ease on the water.
