Level: Beginner to Advanced

Prerequisite: In order to take this class, the participant needs to have taken "Forward of the Line & Competitive Shooting - Safety Class GS100".

Description

  • Magnum Shooting Competitions are, PRACTICAL STYLE events, open to the Public and Magnum Shooting Center Members. Scoring will only be kept in-house, not nationally. This style of competition will aid in your understanding SANCTIONED events.
  • Open to new and advanced shooters of all ages.
  • All youth must be accompanied by adult supervision.
  • Drawing from the holster will be permitted for advanced shooters who have attended the Magnum "Drawing from the Holster" class and achieved instructor approval.
  • A Mandatory Safety Training Course is REQUIRED prior to joining the competitions. The Safety Training Course is held monthly prior to the competition week. This course title is "Safety Class-Forward of the Line"
  • Competitions are held once per month: 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Please be 15 minutes early for check-in.

Tuesday ONLY:

Competition is intended for every level shooter. There will be two divisions for competitors: NON-HOLSTER DIVISION and HOLSTER DIVISON. It is highly recommended to begin your competition journey here, with the Tuesday event.

  • Non-holster Division: Starting will be from a table position and all reloading devices stay on tables and you must load/reload from the table

  • Holster division: This is for advanced shooters only, who can draw and reload from a holster safely. All shooters must have attended the Magnum "Drawing from the Holster" class or have been pre-approved to shoot this division.

  • There will be a division score and a overall score

Thursday or Friday:

Competition, PRACTICLE STYLE is HOLSTER ONLY for advanced shooters, who can draw from a holster safely. All shooters must have attended the Magnum "Drawing from the Holster" class or have been pre-approved to attend

  • Thursday: Holster with belt, at least 3 magazines, and magazine pouches

*Firearms, eye protection, ear protection, and ammo are all available for purchase at Magnum Shooting Center.
