Description Our pre-season Steam Trains operate on Saturday, May 20th, and Sunday, May 21st at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Both trains will depart the Nelsonville Depot for a round trip ride to East Logan. Round trip ride along historic Hocking River Valley!

Ride behind an authentic 1920 coal-fired steam locomotive through the Hocking Valley to East Logan and return. The Steam Train is scheduled to run on May 20th and May 21st 25, 2023. Space is limited and advanced purchase is recommended! Restored in 2015 with additional work completed over the last three years, 0-6-0 No. 3 returns to operation once again and sure to be a thrill as the only operating standard-gauge steam locomotive in Ohio. Tickets start at $19 through $28, with rides at 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 PM. Open-air cars and enclosed coaches will be available and the enclosed cars heated if weather requires. ***Disclaimer: Due to the nature of operating historic equipment, motive power is subject to change without advance notice.
