Based on sniper rifles in movies and video games. The Barrett is used world-wide by both law enforcement and military and scene every from the real battlefield to movies and most video games. The HK sniper rifle is so popular that there was even a classic arcade game called Silent Scope based around it. Lastly, the Soviet SVD Dragunov is the infamous weapon used by insurgents and the bad guys in movies for years as well as standard issue for Russian military snipers.
