Join us onboard the air-conditioned Queensland Pioneer for an exciting new 2 hour fine-dining experience. Developed by the Haig Rd Bistro of Auchenflower, 3 courses of Neo-French inspired cuisine and optional matched wines brings a taste of Europe to the rails.

About

Your experience starts at Swanbank Station at 10:45am with a complimentary glass of bubbly as you prepare to board the dining train.

Once aboard these lovingly restored iconic former Sunlander carriages, you will lose yourself in the ambience of the golden age of onboard rail dining.

Enjoy waiter service to your table and let your taste buds savour your personal menu selection from our bespoke course options prepared onboard by the Haig Rd Bistro’s experienced European trained chef.

Optional matched boutique wines are available in addition to a selection of spirits, beer and soft drinks (EFTPOS available onboard).

Take in the natural beauty of the West Moreton Region as your restaurant on rails meanders through the historic landscapes that feature glimpses of Ipswich’s rich mining heritage.

We recommend guests wear smart casual attire for this experience.

Toilets are available onboard the train and at Swanbank Railway Station.

Due to the historic nature of the railway vehicles and station, there are no provisions for all ability access for this experience.

Please note due to the historic fixed seating arrangement we are unable to accommodate infants.

Bookings for this dining experience close 5 days prior to departure. Walk-up tickets are not available on the day.
