About

Do you want the quintessential Coastal Virginia experience? This trip is for you. We depart at 11am and set sail on the Rappahannock River, where we pass under the iconic Robert O. Norris Bridge and enter Locklies Creek. We arrive around 12:30pm for lunch at the Merroir Tasting Room- a waterfront restaurant that serves as the tasting room for the Rappahannock River Oyster Company. Harvested fresh daily, everything is either served raw or cooked on an outdoor grill, small-plate-style, and beautifully paired with craft brews and world-famous wines. Around 2pm we head back across the River on Galene for a leisurely afternoon sail to homeport. This will be an experience to remember.

What to bring

You may bring a cooler with your food and beverage of choice, although no glass containers (except a wine bottle) are permitted onboard.

Dress in layers as conditions on the water can be warmer/colder that you might expect from the land climate. Please bring appropriate footwear for the boat, quick drying clothes (synthetic layers are great), sunscreen, and a rain coat (just in case!). There is plenty of room and privacy in the cabin to store your belonging and change clothes. You may wish to bring a camera or smart phone, although we do not assume any liability for their protection from the elements.
