You now have truly a special, once in a lifetime chance to experience something only very few in the world have - immerse yourself in the world of authentic reindeer herding lifestyle!

This program is our Wild Safari Experience, as it is held in the middle of wilderness in guidance of local reindeer herders. Experience the dozens of gentle reindeer to come to you, feed them from your hand, take pictures and videos with hundreds of them surrounding you from all sides. You will have an unforgettable experience with wild reindeer roaming from the forests to meet you, spend time with the reindeer with no rush in the world. Enjoy the warmth of a campfire whilst grilling homemade sausages or having sandwiches. Have a cup of coffee or tea and just relax. That’s what the reindeer herding experience is all about!

  • Departures on Mon/Wed/Fri at 09.00. Extra departures can be arranged. You will be given the tour info with the booking confirmation.
  • Minimum age for this booking is 12 years

Tour includes

  • Thermal clothing: overall, boots and gloves
  • Snowmobile gears: balaclava and a helmet
  • Driving through forests and fells in a snowmobile sleigh
  • Experience the traditional reindeer herding process in the wilderness and learn about the culture whilst helping the Sámi herders to feed the reindeer
  • Chance of taking photos with reindeer and the herd
  • Snacks and warm drinks by the open fire
