Arctic bathing, also known as ice bathing, is an exhilirating experience and offers a range of physical and mental health benefits. As you dip into the icy waters of Varangerfjord straight from the sauna, your body releases endorphins, leading to a natural high and improved mood. Additionally, the treatment of hot and cold is believed to boost circulation, strengthen the immune system, and improve resilience to cold temperatures. We offer two saunas, one big for up to 70 persons, and one small for smaller parties. Barents Sauna Camp is located by Varangerjord 2km before the village of Bugøynes.
The sauna area has no showers. Instead, our guests can rinse themselves with the mineral rich sea water that pampers the skin. There is also fresh water in buckets for rinsing at the sauna.
