Con nuestra excursión a Gouda y los molinos de Kinderdijk vamos a recorrer los paisajes de Holanda Meridional, conociendo los trabajos de desecación de los holandeses, y las técnicas para ganar terreno al mar. En esta zona se encontraban numerosos puertos comerciales durante el siglo de oro, donde se obtenían, manufacturaban y distribuían multitud de productos.
En primer lugar visitaremos Kinderdijk, zona de molinos de viento Patrimonio de la Humanidad elevados sobre el paisaje de pólder. Para entender cómo estos gigantes afectaron a la economía del país nuestros guías locales nos explicarán sobre la gran revolución industrial ocurrida aquí y podremos ver el interior de los molinos.
Seguiremos nuestro recorrido hacia Gouda, ciudad repleta de comerciantes en el siglo XVII atraídos por el queso. Recorremos sus calles admirando edificios tan importantes como la Iglesia de San Juan, el ayuntamiento o la balanza pública. No nos iremos de esta ciudad sin probar el delicioso producto local; tras una visita al mercado de queso podremos degustar diferentes tipos y hasta llevarnos alguno de vuelta a casa.
